SAT Tutor in New York City
Oct 21st, 2010 by Math Tutor NYC
As you know, the college admissions process is extremely competitive and it is important to get any edge you can, including a very high SAT score. Grades are important as well, but the SAT is without a doubt the one factor you have most control over. Grades are accumulated over 4 years of high school study, but a great SAT score can be achieved in a few hours on a Saturday morning test. That’s what makes it so impotant to prepare for the test. You can’t afford not to take the SAT seriously when it is so critical and so much in your control. I recommend at least 3 months of regular practice and study before taking the test.
I tutor the math portion of the SAT, which makes up 1/3 of the test in its current format. The maximum score on this section is 800. When I took the SAT in 2000, I scored a 780 on the math section. I want you to score as high and even higher than I did. There is no doubt you can master the SAT with practice and becoming comfortable with the test format. Please consider retaining me as your SAT tutor and I look forward to showing you the best way to attack the various math problems you see on this exam.
