Math Tutor – New York City – Manhattan – Brooklyn – SAT Tutor, Algebra, Calculus, Statistics

Hello and welcome!  My name is Dave  and I am an experienced and effective math tutor in the New York City area.  I grew up in the Washington, DC area, attending Chantilly High School.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in math and economics, and am a member of the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa.  Recently, I completed a Master’s of Science degree in Economics at Tufts University in Medford, MA.  Although math has always come naturally to me and I scored 780 out of 800 on SAT Math and a perfect 800 on the GRE Quantitative, my teaching skills are my best asset.

Before moving to the New York City area, I tutored students in the DC and Boston areas, tutoring students from middle school through college and adult students.  I have tutoring expertise in basic math, pre-algebra, algebra, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics.  Also, on occasion (when asked) I will tutor economics.  In addition to tutoring coursework, I prepare students for exams such as the AP, SAT, GRE, and GMAT.
